Pan is Brit Sigh’s reimagined version of Peter Pan.

The piece was created from thinking about how Black boys are often forced to grow up too fast. They are expected to carry more, know more, survive more, and face the world in ways they should not have to.

Pan is about the opposite of that.

He represents imagination, wonder, play, and the idea that Black boys deserve the space to simply be children. His star-filled eyes symbolize hope, curiosity, and believing in magic a little longer.

This one-of-one artwork blends nostalgia, storytelling, and magical realism into a bold sculptural portrait.
