Optimus PrimeTime is an original painting by Minneapolis-based artist, Brit Sigh.

In this painting, I’m reimagining a character from my childhood. When I was a kid, I watched these heroes on TV and played with the toys—imagining myself as them, even though they didn’t look or sound like me.

The title draws from a fusion of cultural icons—Optimus Prime and Deion “PrimeTime” Sanders—bridging childhood imagination with real-world excellence and identity.

This piece comes from that space—where imagination fills in what’s missing, and identity begins to take shape.

Optimus PrimeTime ascends into the sky, moving with purpose and clarity. Bold linework and a softened sky create a balance between structure and openness, grounding the figure while emphasizing its upward motion.

Executed in acrylic and oil pastels, this work continues my exploration of transformation, imagination, and the power of seeing yourself in new forms.
